About Evan J. King – Attorney

Evan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.  After his undergraduate studies, he earned a Master’s degree in Literacy Education from Northern Illinois University while teaching bilingual elementary students in Waukegan, Illinois.  In 2014, Evan graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Northern Illinois University College of Law, where he was a member of both the Law Review and Moot Court Society. 

With a strong belief in service and volunteerism, Evan has been a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children since 2011, having served in both Lake and DeKalb Counties.  His commitment to providing pro bono services continues through advocacy for both individuals and local non-profit agencies. He currently serves on the Safe Passage Board of Directors.

Evan grew up in the country, playing in the creeks, fields, and forests of central Illinois, just north of Hudson.  Evan enjoys backpacking, hiking, cycling, and traveling.  He is also an avid home brewer and makes his own beer, mead, and cider.
